Photography competition: extraordinary shots of everyday life

Blipfoto has teamed up with Channel Four Television and the National Theatre of Scotland to bring you Unstaged, a global photographic event comprised of three consecutive competitions which collaboratively aim to expose the extraordinary aspects of daily life. It's free to enter to anyone aged 13 and over. To get involved, you need a free blipfoto.com photo journal. Entries will consist of five photographs with accompanying text, taken and uploaded to your journal between each competition's published start and end date. The first Unstaged competition invites submissions that capture the spirit of performance and play in Scotland. Photos must be taken in Scotland to be eligible. For more information go to blipfoto. Grants and Funding for your Idea...

So you've got a great idea - a sculpture, an installation, a painting, a play, a book, a screenplay or maybe something else - but you need a little money to take your idea from blank page to reality. Edinburgh International Film Festival open for submissions

The 2010 Edinburgh International Film Festival is now open for submissions. The Festival will take place from 16 - 27 June 2010 and is internationally regarded as a focus for discovery, a celebration of cinema, a centre of debate and a catalyst for new films. EIFF is committed to screening high quality new short and feature film and video work in all genres from around the world. Art competition that's out of this world Friday 26 March 2010

Organised by Edinburgh-based artist David Grigor, the Accessible Art Company and students from Edinburgh College of Art, the 'Get on Board' art competition is open to 12-14-year-olds. The aim of the competition is to encourage secondary school children to produce an art work on the theme ‘Space Academy’. The winning artist will fly to America to attend Space Academy at the NASA Space and Rocket Centre in Alabama from 1 - 6 Aug 2010. Entrants must send their artwork through their secondary school.
